Loucas Pouroulis

Loucas Pouroulis is the Chairman of the Group, with responsibility for the development of strategy and the identification of new opportunities for the Group. He immigrated to South Africa in 1964 and joined Anglo American, where he rose rapidly through the management ranks and received extensive training and experience. In 1971, Lucas began to pursue his own mining interests, initially focusing on gold mining opportunities considered uneconomical by the majors. By the 1990s, he had established Petra Diamonds and, since 2000, has established Eland Platinum, Tharisa Minerals, Kameni Limited, Keaton Energy Holdings Limited and TransAfrika Resources Limited.
Phoevos Pouroulis
Chief Executive Officer
Bachelor of Science and Business Administration, Boston University, USAPhoevos Pouroulis is the Chief Executive Officer of the Group, with responsibility for the overall strategy and management of the Group. He has held a number of senior positions in various fields during his 14-year career. A former director and Managing Director of Medco South Africa and owner of retail tobacconist outlets, Phoevos has been involved in South Africa’s mining industry since 2003. He has served as Commercial Director for Chromex Mining plc and was a founding member of Keaton Energy. Phoevos is currently a non-executive director of Keaton Energy Holdings Limited.
Evi Papacleovoulou
Compliance Director
Bachelor of Law; European Union Law and Taxation (Masters), Kings College, UKEvi Papacleovoulou has been an executive director of the Company since 2008 and joint Company Secretary since 2011. She is also the Group’s Compliance Director, a member of the Risk Committee, Company Secretary for the Group’s Cyprus subsidiaries, and a director of Tharisa Administration Services Limited and Arxo Resources. Evi has been a partner at the Law Chambers of Nicos Papacleovoulou in Paphos, Cyprus since 2006. She is a member of the Charted Institute of Arbitrators and the Association of International Arbitrators in the United Kingdom and the Cyprus National Association of Arbitrators.
